IS WCS AN OPEN OR CLOSED CAMPUS?
For security reasons, the main doors into the school building are kept locked. Please contact the office for gaining access into the school building.
DOES WCS PROVIDE HOT LUNCHES?
Each family is responsible for sending food for their own children to eat at lunch. However, microwaves are provided so that students may have a hot lunch.
IS WCS "ACCREDITED"?
No. The State of Utah defines accreditation primarily through uniform education for all children in public schools, meeting minimum facility standards set by state agencies and teaching approved curriculum developed by the state educational board. WCS uses curriculum of its own choosing and our building cannot compare to public school campuses and therefore would not qualify for state accreditation.
WILL MY CHILD BE ABLE TO GO TO COLLEGE IF WCS IS NOT ACCREDITED?
State accreditation status of a private Christian school will not hinder graduates enrolling in a college or university, state or private. Registrars select students by academic merit and entrance exams (ACT and SAT). WCS prepares students to make a qualified decision regarding post-high school education upon graduation. In most cases, students from private and home schools have become a sought after commodity by many institutes of higher education due to high scores on entrance exams, as evidenced by our graduates.
